GBCD Working Approach
Our approach is Community Based Rehabilitation; through this approach we have master the art of combining play way method and skill transfer methods to achieve the best learning outcomes. Our training & Camp for the beneficiaries, parents and other stakeholders also features Audio-Visual equipment that facilitates learning more effectively. Our endeavor is to encourage children in picking concept on different subjects through practical demonstration, showing real objects & role play. To eradicate the curse of unemployment of the PWDs GBCD’s effort is to sensitize through counseling and motivating the PWDs, their family members, Employers and other stakeholders to create scope for employment opportunities in different field.
Considering the community need in rural areas GBCD made a choice of working through CBR (Community Based Rehabilitation) approach. Visiting families at a regular interval for home based support to the CWDs and skill transfer to the parents and visiting regular schools for practical demonstration to the mainstream teachers on inclusive teaching methods – are the important features of our work. We provide Life-skill training as well as skill training for PWDs and also sensitize the employers to create scope for employment opportunities in different field.
