A. Capacity Building Training
Training for Adult Disabled
For appropriate economic rehabilitation GBCD provides training to adults with disabilities on functional literacy, life-skill & GK, Protection & safeguarding, Reproductive health, Rights and entitlements and on Indian Sign Language (for deaf)&Counseling of deaf young people on career options.
Parents Training
Our parents training programmes on Child Rights, Social Inclusion, Home Based Management and ISL etc as a part of the parents’ capacity building and empowerment programme.
Training for the Professionals
Community Health workers or ICDS Workers are supposed to be the first person to contact with to be mothersregarding their health& updated information. We provide training to these Health Workers & ICDS workers for early identification and intervention. We also provide training on pre-school management for CWDs for the ICDS workers and inclusive teaching methodologies to regular school teachers.
Community Mental Health Clinic
Emerging community needs motivated us to start a Mental Health Clinic this year. Through this Clinic many persons with mental  illness treated.
Arrangement of H/C & I/C and Epileptic Medicine
We support the PWDs and their families to get Handicapped Certificate and Identity Card which is the primary eligibility for linking with the entitlements. We also provide medicine to CWDs & PWDs with epilepsy of low income group families at free of cost.
B. Group Strengthening
We encourage, support and facilitate the formation of DYP groups for their self advocacy for their rights and entitlements.
Disabled Person’s Organization (DPO)
We organize various trainings for the Block level Group of PWDs” SAMARTHYA”. Ithas now started advocating for their rights and entitlements
Parents Group
Three parents Group are now advocating for the rights of their children with disabilities at block and district level.They also network with State level Parents group. We organize various trainings for the capacity building of these parent-groups.
DYP Group & Deaf Club
We have facilitated to form three DYP Groups in three Blocks. They organize regular meetings to disseminate information and exchange views on different aspects among themselves. These deaf clubs started networking with the state level deaf association.
“NIRBAK”- a Cultural Team
This is a cultural team / group of deaf children & youth. They participate and also organize different cultural sessions on drawing & painting, Dance-drama and Mime performance.
