A. Community Based Rehabilitation Approach
Home Based Support
We provide home based educational support to the children & youths with Deafness, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Loco motor disabilities. During this home-visit we transfer our skill to the parents so that they can also take part in the process of inclusive education of their children.
Intervention with School
We provide training and teaching demonstration on lesson adaptation and inclusive teaching methods to the mainstream teachers. We also provide training on Indian Sign Language to the teachers and peers of the school to ensure easy & fluent communication for every deaf child.
Interpretation for students with deafness
We arrange ISL-interpreters for deaf students for any examination in the school and also during the Board-Examination.
B. Institution Based Support
Short Stay Camp & Special Educational Support Camp and Special Support Class
We organized “Short Stay Camp” for the children with deafness to provide them with special need based educational support. Adapted lessons, deaf friendly TLMs and teaching methods, Barrier-free communication environment and joyful learning are the main features of these camps.
