18 students with Disability have successfully passed Madhyamik Examination 2026

We are delighted to share that, 16 children with deafness and 02 children with Locomotor disability have successfully passed the Madhyamik Examination 2026 with the continuous support and guidance of Graham Bell Centre for the Deaf (GBCD). This achievement is especially remarkable as most of these students belong to rural and marginalized communities, where parents are primarily daily wage earners. Many of the successful candidates are also first-generation learners, overcoming significant social and economic barriers to continue their education.

GBCD has been associated with these children since their early childhood at the ICDS level and has consistently provided educational and developmental support throughout their academic journey. As the students progressed to higher classes, GBCD extended various forms of academic and inclusive education support, including:

  • Weekly lesson and subject-based special support classes.
  • Preparation and use of appropriate lesson plans, lesson adaptations, and disability-friendly Learning Teaching Materials (LTMs).
  • Interpreting support during examinations for children requiring communication assistance.
  • Subject-specific classroom demonstrations in schools and orientation/training for teachers on disability awareness and inclusive classroom practices.

This outstanding accomplishment reflects the determination and hard work of the students, along with the unwavering support of parents, school teachers, and well-wishers. GBCD expresses its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this success possible.
