📢 Deaf Week Celebration 2026 📢

🦻 Awareness Rally | Balagarh BLRC

As part of the Deaf Week Celebration 2026, organized by the Graham Bell Centre for the Deaf (GBCD), an Awareness Rally was held today at Balagarh BLRC to raise public awareness about the rights, dignity, abilities, equal opportunities, and social inclusion of Deaf and hard-of-hearing persons.

The rally was attended by children and persons with disabilities, parents, teachers, ICDS workers, health workers, support staff, and members of the GBCD team. Through the rally, participants conveyed a strong message of respect, acceptance, equal rights, and inclusion for Deaf and hard-of-hearing persons in society.

🤝 Our Message:

“Deafness does not define a person’s abilities. With the right opportunities, support, and an inclusive environment, every individual can develop their potential and participate fully in society.”

🌍 Let us work together to build an inclusive society where Deaf and hard-of-hearing persons can move forward with equal dignity, rights, opportunities, and participation.
