The festive spirit of Durga Puja became even more joyful and meaningful as the Graham Bell Centre for the Deaf (GBCD) organized a new-clothes distribution programme at Dadpur BLRC, reaching out to 122 Children with Disabilities (CwDs) and their families.
As part of this initiative, new clothes were distributed to the children, bringing smiles to their faces and adding a special sense of celebration to their families during the festive season. What may seem like a small gesture carries deep meaning for children and families from rural and marginalized communities, for whom celebrating festivals with new clothes is often a cherished but difficult-to-afford experience.
The programme reflects GBCD’s continued commitment to inclusion, dignity, equality, and community participation. We believe that the true spirit of a festival is realized when every child, including children with disabilities and those from marginalized communities, has the opportunity to experience its joy and celebration.
Through initiatives such as this, GBCD strives to create a society where children with disabilities are not only supported but are valued, included, and celebrated as equal members of the community.
GBCD sincerely expresses its gratitude to all supporters, well-wishers, and partners whose cooperation made this initiative possible.
Together, let us continue sharing happiness, spreading hope, and building a more inclusive society.
