πŸ“’ Deaf Week 2026 Celebration at Polba BLRC πŸ“’

To promote awareness about the rights, abilities, dignity, and social inclusion of deaf people, Graham Bell Centre for the Deaf (GBCD) proudly inaugurated Deaf Week 2026 at its Polba Branch with an awareness rally.

Deaf children and persons, along with their parents, teachers, peers, GBCD staff, CRG members, and local community members, actively participated in the rally. Through this initiative, important messages on the right to education, accessible communication, equal opportunities, and inclusion of deaf children in mainstream society were shared with the community.

🀝 The main objective of the programme was to dispel common misconceptions about deafness and encourage everyone to work together towards building a more inclusive, equal, and discrimination-free society.

πŸ’™ Deafness does not define a person’s potential. With the right opportunities, support, and inclusion, every child can learn, grow, and achieve their full potential.
